The Human Behind The Botanicals

Hi there,

I’m Spozhmi Moon -  but most people call me Spo. 

My journey with oral care began long before I ever stepped into a dental clinic.

I was born in Afghanistan, where my grandparents passed down traditional plant wisdom — from chewing herbal stalks to brushing with ash, to using food as medicine. But when we immigrated to Canada, everything changed.

At age 10, I had my first dental visit — and it was traumatic.
A mouth full of cavities. No education. No understanding. Just fear.

Instead of turning away from that experience, I leaned in.

I trained as a Certified Dental Assistant and spent over a decade in clinics across BC and Ontario. But over and over, I saw the same pattern:

People were being treated — but not empowered to prevent oral dis-ease.

From Questioning to Creation

This led me to deeper questions:

• Why are the same preventable issues affecting so many people?

• Why aren’t we teaching root-cause prevention?

• And where are the holistic, plant-based tools that truly support the body?

Returning to my roots opened the door to studying herbal medicine, exploring biological dentistry, and reconnecting with the belief that true healing means correcting the cause, not just masking symptoms.

When I couldn’t find oral care products that aligned with this vision, I started formulating my own — combining the science of remineralization with the wisdom of plants.
